On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, members and friends of the FBI Tampa Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBITCAAA) gathered at Stumpy’s Hatchet House in Tampa for an evening centered on friendship, networking, and a little friendly competition.

The event offered attendees a relaxed setting to reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new friends, and strengthen the relationships that make the FBITCAAA community so special.

An Evening of Fun and Friendly Competition

Guests enjoyed two hours of hatchet throwing, along with Giant Jenga and plenty of opportunities for conversation and networking. Pizza and wings rounded out the evening, giving everyone a chance to socialize between turns at the throwing lanes.

Whether participants were experienced hatchet throwers or trying the activity for the first time, the evening was less about competition and more about camaraderie.

The informal atmosphere encouraged members to get to know one another outside of traditional meetings, programs, and service activities—helping strengthen the personal connections that support the Association’s work throughout the Tampa Bay community.

Building Connections That Strengthen Our Community

Networking events such as this are an important part of FBITCAAA’s mission. Strong relationships among alumni, community partners, and supporters help create a more engaged network of citizens committed to service, public safety, and continued support of the FBI’s community outreach efforts.

The evening provided an opportunity for longtime members to reconnect while giving newer participants a welcoming environment to become more involved with the organization.

From conversations over dinner to friendly competition at the hatchet lanes and Giant Jenga tables, the event demonstrated that building a strong community can be both meaningful and fun.
